Ronaldo’s Latest Strike for Al-Nassr Sets New Milestone

At 40, Cristiano Ronaldo still scores. The former Real Madrid forward has 927 career goals, close to 1,000. Ronaldo’s penalty helped Al-Nassr beat Esteghlal Tehran 3-0 in the Asian Champions League Round of 16.

The 927th goal of his career had an unbelievable significance. The Portuguese international’s 464th goal since turning 30 surpassed his teens and 20s total. Ronaldo was at his best in his 20s, so this is impressive. Some say he had strong early 30s seasons.

Ronaldo posted his response to qualifying for the ACL on Instagram after the game. Ronaldo turned 40 in February and has not announced his retirement. With 1,000 goals near, he may play a few more seasons.

Al-Nassr’s attacker has more career goals than Lionel Messi and could reach four digits first. That would be a tremendous goal to avoid retirement.
