Messi Rules Out Coaching After Retirement

Lionel Messi has already disclosed that coaching is not part of his post-retirement life, and it provides fans with a unique insight into his vision of what will be after football. In his video interview with Argentine streaming channel Luzu, the Inter Miami star gave some insightful remarks about his future, mental health, and personal life.

Although he was one of the most tactically endowed players of all time in the history of football, Messi rejected the thought of becoming a coach. Rather, he was fascinated with the idea of being the owner of a football club, and the development of youth was of the utmost priority. He added that he would like to contribute to the game in a different manner by starting at the bottom and nurturing young players.

Messi recently renewed his contract with Inter Miami, signing a three-year deal after having signed with the club in the year 2023. The transaction proves that he has not reached his retirement age and helps him in his desire to play his last world cup where Argentina will be trying to defend the title it won in Qatar in 2022.

The Argentine star also touched on the issue of mental health, something that the top athletes of that time did not talk about. Admitting that he went to therapy in his Barcelona years, he said that before, he could not internalize pressure and emotions. Messi says that these experiences brought him significant change as an individual.

Off the field, Messi depicted himself as a solitary and quiet person. He is a family person but he admitted that it is not very peaceful when children are running around the house.

Through the remarks, Messi as he goes on with his career in the United States, his remarks are an indication of a change in not having to compete ruthlessly, but to establish a legacy. Then, instead of staying in the limelight as a coach, Messi seems to be keen on making long-term changes on the backstage.
