There has always been a quarrel over Messi vs. Ronaldo; however, to Giuseppe Rossi, it is a matter of inspiration. The ex-Manchester United and Villarreal striker disclosed that he admires the amazing success of the football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo; however, the player with whom he speaks the most when coaching young players is Lionel Messi.
When asked by Boyle Sports about the GOAT debate, Rossi described it as a subjective one yet stated why Messi is more attractive to him. You can borrow some of the qualities of each on the kinds of players and get what you can learn out of them, but you are more at home with the one which you are close to, said Rossi.
Being a left-footed forward and having a technical game style, Rossi views Messi’s style as the ultimate model for young children who develop the skills of close control, vision, and creativity with the ball. Messi is a skilful and elegant player, the type of footballer with whom one can have a good chat with young players, said Rossi.
Although he shared a dressing room with Ronaldo at Old Trafford and has had to confront him in Spain, Rossi emphasised that the artistry portrayed by Messi can be learned to teach us more than statistics and power. Rossi added that his style of play is what the next generation cannot help but aspire to win games, but enjoy football.
