The findings showed the chaos that can happen on the first night of a new Premier League campaign. Established teams were not able to just use reputation as a measure of success as several clubs started new managerial eras and promoted sides were looking to make a name for themselves.
But the 3-0 defeat to Brentford is a step backwards for Tottenham after their summer spending spree. Now, Spurs must come up with some quick answers to not let an opening-day loss dictate what they do.
