Lewandowski scored an early double as La Liga champions Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 3-0 at San Mamés on Sunday to finish their season.
Barcelona finished La Liga with 88 points, four ahead of Real Madrid. Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal placed fourth and fifth, respectively, winning spots in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Atletico Madrid finished third with 76 points.
Barcelona benched numerous regular starters, including top goalkeepers Wojciech Szczesny and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, giving third-choice Inaki Pena his first start in over four months.
Fermin Lopez assisted Lewandowski, who scored for Barcelona in the 14th minute by lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper. Hansi Flick’s men scored 100 goals this season.
The Polish attacker doubled the lead three minutes later. He finished second in La Liga with 27 goals, behind Kylian Mbappe’s 31.
Barcelona won thanks to Dani Olmo’s penalty in the fourth minute of added time.
The star of the match, Lewandowski, praised the season as the La Liga winners accomplished a domestic treble by winning the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey.
