His input has played a key role to one of the most successful times in the recent history of the club.
Salah has assisted Liverpool to win some of the biggest trophies under Klopp with the appearance of the UEFA champions league and the premier league. His consistency and goal scorer have made him a world icon and a symbol of the re-emergence of Liverpool.
Nevertheless, the words of Klopp lead to the assumption that they cannot retire instantly. Rather, Salah could venture into other challenges. The thought of him still playing late in his 30s, or boing to 40 years of age, is indicative of the fact that today, athletes are lengthening their lifespans in terms of playing in elite situations and developing into professionals.
