Why JJ Watt and his wife Kealia want to bring ‘global eyeballs’. Burnley FC will compete in the Premier League the next year, and the soccer team is a source of pride and inspiration for the town, which has a population of just under 100,000, in northwest England.
However, the town has experienced its share of social and economic hardships. JJ Watt and his wife Kealia are aware of the fact that its citizens have been particularly severely struck by the UK’s rising cost of living.
Burnley is a unique team. According to new minority investor JJ Watt, it’s a special spot, Amanda Davies of CNN Sport reported.
“I want to draw attention from around the world to Burnley to highlight how unique the residents and the town are.”

Burnley did formerly receive a lot of attention on a global scale. During the Industrial Revolution, it was a significant center for engineering and later rose to prominence as one of the world’s top cotton producers, claiming to have the longest cotton in the world.
Burnley still boasts the largest percentage of manufacturing jobs of any town, according to the Centre for Cities, but this percentage has decreased from three out of every four jobs in 1911 to slightly under one out of four now.
However, Burnley has a strong community, which is one of the things that attracted the pair to the area. They want to change how people view the soccer team and the town.
“In my opinion, Burnley is given a poor rap. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year adds that several onlookers inquire about it when he wears a Burnley cap while walking about London.

“I only want to assist in telling their narrative. Tell the history of the neighborhood, the supporters, and that lovely club.
The Watts are already assisting in drawing attention to the community, and Alastair Campbell, a devoted Burnley supporter and former spokesperson for UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, underlined this.
“Burnley and the neighborhood have gotten a huge lift from the football team’s performance this year. JJ’s engagement and his apparent passion for the location and the idea have undoubtedly increased the excitement a notch or two, according to Campbell, who spoke to CNN Sport.
