Teams no longer fear Liverpool – Reds legend, John Aldridge laments

Teams no longer fear Liverpool – Reds legend John Aldridge laments. John Aldridge, a former Liverpool player, bemoaned that his former club is no longer feared as much as it once was.

Liverpool is presently seventh in the table, six points behind fourth place, making it difficult for them to make the Champions League the following season.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has allowed seven goals in the opening ten minutes this season in the Premier League.

This season, Aldridge said, teams haven’t been afraid to start their attacks against the Reds right away, and the Reds have done it far too frequently.

Aldridge claimed on LFC TV that teams are not as afraid of us this season as they once were.

He claimed that this had not been the case over the previous five years and that, instead, due to Liverpool’s skill on the counterattack, these teams had been hesitant and afraid to move forward and abandon their defensive positions.

The former Reds player claimed that the issue first surfaced when Liverpool lost, and teams told each other to “just show them that we are not scared, we are not intimidated, and have a go.” And we have given in far too often.

Rio Ferdinand, a former player at Manchester United, recently predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s Red would sneak into the top four this year.
