Serie A will no longer be called ‘Serie A’ outside of Italy after a name change. Serie A has recently seen success, with Inter Milan reaching the Champions League final this year and Napoli winning the league for the first time in 33 years. The 54-year-old is now looking to capitalize on that success by developing a brand that is even more alluring in order to compete with major European leagues like La Liga and the Premier League.

De Siervo discussed their ambitions in an interview with the Spanish daily AS, mentioning among other things the renaming of Italy’s top division to “Serie A Made In Italy.”We have started the process of regaining our place as a global leader, he declared.”We are producing a better, more intriguing product. The 54-year-old continued, “We need to upgrade the stadiums, but our cities are beautiful in their own right.
