Cristiano Ronaldo was furious after Al Nassr’s star January signing Jhon Duraan was sent off in Friday’s 3-2 loss to Al Ettifaq.
Duran, who joined the Saudi Pro League from Aston Villa for a record £64 million ($80 million), appeared to give Ettifaq player Abdulelah Al-Malki a light slap in stoppage time at the end of the game.
The referee handed a red card when Al-Malki fell and rolled on the ground, despite Ronaldo’s protests, who shouted at the officials and kicked the stationary ball into the seats.
Al Nassr lost after a seven-game unbeaten streak and fell eight points behind leaders Al Ittihad, who have a game in hand.
