Real Madrid forward Rodrygo thanked other teams for their attention but wants to stay in LaLiga for years.
After scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in 31 appearances for Real in all competitions this season, the 24-year-old Brazilian was reportedly offered lucrative mid-season contracts by Saudi Arabian clubs.
“My father, my agent, and the club handle Saudi offers. Details elude me. I appreciate other clubs’ interest “Rodrygo told reporters Monday.
“I love it here. My time here is long. I always think playing with this shirt in the Champions League is special.”
Rodrygo’s Real contract expires in 2028. The top five countries for January club spending were Germany ($295.7 million), Italy ($223.8 million), France ($209.7 million), and Saudi Arabia ($202.1 million).
Neymar left Al-Hilal for Santos, and Colombian attacker Jhon Duran, who joined Al-Nassr from Aston Villa for $79.97 million, was the most expensive mid-season signing.
Real Madrid meet Manchester City away in the first leg of their knockout playoff on Tuesday after both clubs failed to qualify automatically for the last 16 under the new Champions League format.
