Premier League: things to look out for this weekend

Foxes should fear peaking champions.

Premier League: things to look out for this weekend Leicester, the second-worst team in the Premier League, will be playing at the Etihad following Manchester City’s 3-0 humiliation of Bayern Munich. The champions’ final league matchup before their pivotal matchup with Arsenal on April 26 will be this one. The treble is within reach for Pep Guardiola’s team, who are in fine form with three days to prepare for their travel to Wembley to face Sheffield United in the FA Cup semifinals before their return to Munich on Wednesday in the Champions League. Ruben Dias is once again a monolith in defense, Erling Haaland is adding assists to his goal gluttony, Bernardo Silva’s dancing feet are back, and Guardiola‘s four-man backline that reduces to three while in possession is another important factor in this upswing. Thus, don’t be shocked if Leicester is defeated, especially since a third consecutive City title victory is now possible since Arsenal dropped two points at Liverpool.

Hammers may try to target Zinchenko

Premier League: things to look out for this weekend

Oleksandr Zinchenko was acquired by Arsenal from City in a brilliant move. The Ukrainian has been an important leader and influence at left-back, where he has supported Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey while moving into midfield. This has been a crucial factor in Mikel Arteta’s team developing into a title contender. Zinchenko’s defense in one-on-one situations, however, remains his weakness. In the tumultuous 2-2 tie they had last weekend with Liverpool, he was exposed in the second half. West Ham could attempt to target Zinchenko similarly to how Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold did. David Moyes will undoubtedly recall how Jarrod Bowen defeated Zinchenko during West Ham’s tie with City last year. That day, Bowen scored twice, and the Ukrainian found it difficult to follow his inside right runs. On Sunday, Arsenal needs to prepare for the West Ham winger.
