Nottingham Forest Draw Manchester City Premier League

Forest has made a dramatic 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad stadium, which deprives the Pep Guardiola side of the much-needed points in the premier league title race. The late goal by Forest earned them a point and discouraged City who are still seven points behind leaders Arsenal despite holding a game in hand.

The game started with Manchester City on the top. The game was opened by Antoine Semenyo in the 31 st minute as he converted an accurate cross by Rayan Cherki. City felt happy and took advantage of their position when Rodri headed a corner in the 62nd minute into his first goal of the season in the Premier League.

But Nottingham Forest reacted in a determined manner. In the 56 th minute, Morgan Gibbs-White scored a goal to give Forest a chance to remain in the field with a spectacular back-heeled goal using the legs of Ruben Dias. The win or draw was in the air around the 76 th minute when Elliott Anderson swiveled a magical 25 yards goal past Gianluigi Donnarumma, a draw that will be remembered by the visitors.

Lifting them barely above the relegation zone in the 17th spot with 28 points, the point by Forest spares them despite the fact that they have gone up against one of the strongest sides in the league. Guardiola admitted that Forest was a tough challenge because he used counter-attacks successfully and capitalized on the weaknesses in the defense.

The defeat is a blow to City in their pursuit of Arsenal in the title race and this shows how close the positions at the top of the Premier League table are.
