No deal yet for Napoli star Kim Min-jae to Manchester United

No deal yet for Napoli star Kim Min-Jae to Manchester United. After more than one meeting, several sources continue to claim that Manchester United is the favorite to sign Kim Min-Jae from Napoli, although no decision has yet been taken.

In his first Serie A season, the South Korean international has been a revelation, leading his team to their first championship in 33 years and receiving the Award for Serie A Defender of the Season.

Due to his suspension for this evening’s game against Sampdoria, he may have already played his final match for the Partenopei after being acquired from Fenerbahce for just €18m last summer.

Alfredo Pedullà, a transfer expert for Sportitalia, claims that there have already been at least two meetings between Kim Min-Jae and Napoli and Manchester United representatives.

The compensation on the table is reportedly between €6 and €7 million every season, plus bonuses.

His contract contains a release clause, but it’s odd because a portion of it also depends on the worth of the team purchasing the player.

It is only valid from July 1 to 15 and goes from €45 million to €60 million, although it would drop to about €45 million in the summer of 2024. Thus, it is expected that Napoli will sell now rather than wait.

Kim Min-Jae has been associated with Paris Saint-Germain, but recent rumors in France indicate they have moved on to other targets.
