Gazzetta reports that coach Thiago Motta will be ‘under scrutiny’ until the end of the season after Juventus went out in the Champions League quarterfinal playoff.
The Bianconeri were eliminated from the Champions League playoff after losing 3-1 to PSV on Wednesday night and 4-3 aggregate.
Gazzetta reports that Motta will be under examination until the end of the season because the Old Lady needed to reach the Champions League Round of 16. In January, Milan defeated Juventus in the Supercoppa Semifinals.
Still in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals, they’re fourth in Serie A with Lazio on 46 points.
After signing a three-year contract in Turin last summer, Motta must qualify for the Champions League this season to stay in charge in 2025-26, despite public backing.
The former Italy international defended his tactics yesterday night.
“I didn’t change late. Before the first goal, he stated.
“I wanted to give the squad more energy, but we equalized and had to calm down and maintain balance. I believed my modifications were timely.
