Flying Eagles of Nigeria arrive in Mendoza for FIFA World Cup . The Nigerian team, the Flying Eagles, arrived in Mendoza on May 17 in the evening, four days before their play against the Dominican Republic in the opening match of the FIFA U20 World Cup finals.
Ladan Bosso, the team’s head coach, welcomed them when they landed at Mendoza’s Aero Puerto International Airport. Dayo Enebi Achor, the NFF’s head of international competitions, also met them there.
The Flying Eagles were part of a pre-World Cup training camp organized by the Nigeria Football Federation in Buenos Aires, the country’s capital, where they competed in friendlies against Colombia and fellow World Cup finalists Argentina and defeated an Argentine second-division team named Almirante.
