Ronaldo later uploaded pictures from his birthday celebration on Instagram, getting over 10 million likes. “I appreciate all of your wonderful birthday messages! Had a wonderful day with loved ones; could not want for anything better,” he captioned two pictures.
Among the responses, David de Gea, a former Manchester United teammate, humorously inserted a grandfather emoji, mocking his age.
Rauw Alejandro, a Puerto Rican celebrity singer, also graced Ronaldo’s birthday celebration.
The Portuguese powerhouse also spun around the birthday cake. Ronaldo’s loved ones cheered him after blowing out the candles before he danced with his mother Maria Dolores Aveiro and fiancée Georgina Rodriguez.
Ronaldo nevertheless took the training field earlier that day, and his team Al Nassr paid a moving tribute to their top player. The club showed a video message saying “Happy birthday. Before showing Ronaldo a cake highlighting his career, Saudi loves you” on the large screen of the gym.
