Chris Sutton v The National drummer Bryan Devendorf. The battle to avoid the drop for Everton, Leicester, and Leeds will all be decided on the last day. Who will be the one to remain in the Premier League if only one?
Football expert Chris Sutton of BBC Sport predicted a thrilling Sunday.
“Monday’s draw between Leicester and Newcastle might be very significant. If they manage to survive from here, it may end up being one of the greatest escapes we’ve ever witnessed. They still need to defeat West Ham to have a shot.
“That outcome means Everton must defeat Bournemouth to be certain of staying up, but even Leeds still have hope because they are playing a Tottenham team that are just so bad,” said the author.
Sutton has given picks for every one of the 380 Premier League games this year, competing against various outsiders.
He will compete against The National’s drummer Bryan Devendorf in the final games.
This fall, The National will perform in Leeds, Glasgow, and London as part of their global tour. First Two Pages of Frankenstein, their brand-new album, debuted earlier this month and peaked at number four in the UK charts.

Devendorf defines himself as “a neutral who has jumped on the Brighton bandwagon” in contrast to his bandmate Aaron Dessner, who is a devoted Liverpool supporter.
According to him, “I really enjoy their style of play, and the story of their rise is pretty nice, too,” he told BBC Sport. “The ownership appears great and everything.
They are undoubtedly punching above their weight, and despite losing Graham Potter at the beginning of the season, Roberto de Zerbi seems to have made them even more potent.
“Securing a spot in the Europa League is an outstanding accomplishment, but what really jumps out is how they went about it. It’s really fun to observe their style.
Although one of the season’s top storylines has been Moises Caicedo, I’ve also been reading about their recruiting and strategy. They have a ton of young South American players, but we haven’t seen any of them yet. More are on the way.
Although Devendorf has yet to attend a Premier League game, his local team Cincinnati is having a fantastic season at the top of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer.
“I’ve seen them a few times,” he said. “The club is doing well, and they have a new stadium. Philadelphia is the tactical “Moneyball” squad in their league, and one of their coaches traveled to Cincinnati and presented their strategy, which was successful. They have a strong goalkeeper and a terrific striker.
“However, I don’t really watch the American team too much. When it comes to international soccer, I am a little bit like Benedict Arnold [an American-born commander who sided with the British during the American War of Independence].
Even though the World Cup will be in the United States the next year, I will always support the England team because of the fact that I have an English grandmother.
