Celtic regained a 13-point lead in the Scottish Premiership with a 6-0 home victory over Dundee. Until Arne Engel converted a penalty and Adam Idah scored just before halftime, the Hoops were unable to get out of second gear. His first goal of the match came from a wonderful cross that he put up for 27-year-old Daizen Maeda; three minutes after halftime, he scored again, this time beating Trevor Carson with a header.
Engels scored twice from long range and substitute Nicolas Kuhn added a third to seal Celtic’s crushing victory, putting Dundee out of reach and paving the way for debutant Jeffrey Schlupp.
