Dest is not in Xavi’s plans for the upcoming season despite the obvious need for a new right-back because he failed to live up to his price tag.
Dest’s troubles at Camp Nou and San Siro initially raised concerns that Barça could have trouble attracting a bidder for him. However, Dest’s representative recently acknowledged in an interview (h/t Diario SPORT) that at least three Premier League clubs are interested in signing the midfielder.

According to the agent, the athlete is already a highly sought-after prospect in the English market. “There are three Premier clubs that have already shown a lot of interest,” he stated.
However, the agent acknowledged that the negotiations are still in their early stages and that nothing has changed yet. “With any club, there are still no advancements. Dest will return to Barcelona, and after that, we will discuss his future with the organization, he continued.
Along with these three Premier League teams, Union Berlin of the Bundesliga, who are vying for a spot in the Champions League next year, has also expressed interest in Dest’s services.
In order to strengthen their alternatives on the left wing, Barcelona is also willing to include Dest in a direct swap deal including Yannick Carrasco, one of the club’s top targets in the upcoming summer.
One would anticipate Barcelona to take action soon and find a buyer for the American international as we approach the season’s final few weeks.
