Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta left an interview after a painful 1-1 draw against Manchester United. The draw put his team 15 points behind Liverpool, casting doubt on the Premier League title hunt.
After losing 1-0 at home to West Ham and drawing 0-0 at Nottingham Forest, the Gunners lost points for the third straight encounter.
“Today our efficiency in the last 20 metres wasn’t good enough,” Arteta stated. For significant parts, a lot of what the game demands at Old Trafford, we accomplished well.
At the end, you have to capitalize when the team is so dominant and superior than the competition, but we didn’t tonight. Then you have to overturn a result, which we know is hard, and you have to take greater risks and expose yourself. Then the game could have changed in the final minutes.”
