Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has underlined two traits Toby Collyer will offer to the squad ahead of his probable return against Real Sociedad this evening.
Collyer is in position to make his first appearance since starting United’s 2-0 win against FCSB in their final Europa League league phase outing at the end of January. He has missed the last four games with a muscular injury.
He has been named in the 18-man squad that has gone to Spain for the opening leg of the last-16 clash versus Sociedad, giving United a timely boost after fellow midfielder Manuel Ugarte became the latest addition to the injury list.
Collyer has shown promise for United this season, suggesting he could become an Amorim regular. The United manager says his return is “important” and details his contributions.
“It is important for us,” Amorim told MUTV of Collyer’s return. It gives the midfield another option. “He is fast and brave. His presence makes us happy.”
